The new Leisuretime pumps have been upgraded with a Pantera style mounting base. This results in the front inlet being higher. IF the old pump base is removeable then you may change the bases over. Otherwise you will need to adjust the inlet and outlet plumbing. This only applies to old Onga leisuretime and older Builders range (BR463etc and ex 346400 etc). Cell Cleaning
Do not use Pool acid to clean your salt cell as you may remove the ruthnium coating, you will then need a new cell! If you must, please, please be very careful, dilute by adding the acid to the water, make it weak, wear goggles and gloves, if you spill it just jump in the pool. Better to use cell cleaner which is much safer, reuseable too. The cell just needs to be clean enough to work, no need to clean it shiney bright, if you do you are killing it!! Be VERY careful if you have a self cleaner, these cells are twice the price, you will not be happy if you ruin it by over cleaning. Any doubts, call Bob for more info 0297125757

CARTRIDGE FILTER PROBLEMS?
Unable to get your cartridge clean, won't stay clean, reduced water flow? Maybe you used flock in the pool when it went green. New cartridge time as floc just won't washout. Any coagulant that sticks the dirt particules together will impact on the cartridge making it uncleanable. Age effects and, minerals may also grow in the weave of the cartridge material. In days past some shops had a wheely bin full of acid offering a cleaning service, not always successful if you used floc and maybe not "work safe" either! These days replacement cartridges are much cheaper making buying a new cartridge the way to go.
